Markham,ON—December 23, 2002—TURCK Inc. has introduced the new 8 mm diameter AC sensor (20-132 VAC) with the longest sensing range available in the industry. With the newly incorporated noise immunity that TURCK has designed, this sensors will fit well in many general industry applications where VFD’s, servos and walkie-talkies cause noise problems due to radiated or injected electrical noise.

The new 8 mm AC sensor provides a 2 mm (0.08”) sensing range on mild steel. The stainless steel housing offers improved durability. These sensors come in quick disconnect versions, as well as potted in PUR cable for better durability with chemicals and cutting coolants. Plus, special molded connectors with varying lengths of cable are available with little additional lead time. With a visible LED at the cable entry, this is another addition to TURCK’s broad offering of barrel sensors.
