Markham,ON—October 17, 2002—The new connector series offers not only a space saving design but also a high degree of flexibility. The bulkhead mounted housing needs as little as 49 x 35 mm mounting space, whilst the opening radius of the locking lever offers the possibility of mounting several connectors side by side.

The hood consists of two parts: An upper part with the cable entry and a lower part, the carrier part. This design allows an easy assembly of the inserts into the hood and secondly a fast and secure assembly on the cable side. It is also possible to mount the bulkhead mounted housing instead of the carrier housing onto the hood. Thus Han-Compact® can also be used to realize cable-to-cable connections without the use of a special coupling housing or any other special accessories.

Han-Compact® offers a protection degree of IP 65 whilst the nickel-plated finish guarantees a corresponding protection against corrosion. Han-Compact® is suitable for almost all modules of the time tested Han-Modular® series.

The modules can be assembled and disassembled without the need for special tools.
