Markham,ON—October 17, 2002—Flexible coding and storage of process parameters within industrial connectors – This is now possible with the new Han® ID-Module.
This module is an addition to the Han-Modular® series from HARTING and offers integrated electronics including an E˛PROM with a data storage capacity of 128 Bytes.
Communication with the ID-Module can be achieved with a standard digital 24V I/O unit using the I˛C-bus protocol. Depending on the I/O unit used the ID-Module can be operated via a standard PLC.
Tools or complete systems can be flexibly coded on a software basis with help of the ID-Module.
For example identification and process parameters such as operating hours can be stored directly in the tool or hardware system, so that system operation and maintenance can be optimised.
The Han® ID-Module can be combined with all modules of the Han-Modular® series within an industrial connector.
