Markham,ON—October 17, 2002—Due to the increasing requirement to de-centralise automation systems, HARTING has developed products to enable the power distribution to devices (such as motor starters and drives) to be implemented in a bus structure.
The Han-Power® S allows for the power supply to devices to be ‘tapped’ off from a power bus without cutting the bus cable. Just strip the outer sheath of the cable at the preferred point and up to 7 cores of up to 4 mm² cables can terminated very simply using HARAX® IDC rapid termination technology. This means that not only system installation but also additions and modifications can be achieved quickly and economically.
Technical features of Han-Power® S include a rated voltage up to 500 V acc. to EN 61984 and 600 V acc. to UL 1977 and a long-time stability acc. to EN 60 947-7-1 with a rated current of 25 A.
