The New Possibility to Control Motors and Drives in a Decentralized Way

Markham,ON—October 17, 2002—The motor starter provides control and supervision for 3 phase or AC motors via an AS-Interface. The monitoring and supervision of the motor starter and motor operation can be achieved in two ways, either by the fieldbus or by LED indications on the Powerswitch unit.

Applications in harsh environments demand a high degree of protection for the sensitive electronic equipment. Therefore the robust Han®-housings as well as the well proven Han® connectors are crucial elements of these decentralized units.
