Markham, Ontario-August 10, 2004- The Virtu™ and Virtu18™ provide low-cost, high performance, innovative, ultrasonic sensing solutions for industry. Virtu features a dual-mount option and sensing ranges from 50 mm (2”) up to 510 mm, (20”). Virtu18 provides customers with the same technology available in Virtu but in an 18 mm barrel body style. Both products are available for under $150 CDN, a price breakthrough for superior ultrasonic technology.
The small size and tough housing of Virtu and Virtu18 make them ideal for many OEM and packaging applications, including food and beverage. A teach-in window capability eliminates downtime often required for sensor recalibration when colors, materials or shapes change.
With UL enclosure ratings of NEMA 4X and IP67, these CE certified sensors are
resistant to dust, 100 percent humidity, most acids and bases and high-pressure
washdowns that often leave water buildup on the sensing face. Virtu sensors
are virtually impervious to the effects of splashing food, caustic cleaning
solutions or changing light conditions. Shielding and filtering make the fully
encapsulated sensor immune to radiated or conducted energy.
