TURCK’s Economy Modules Give New Meaning to Compact I/O

Markham,ON—October 18, 2006—TURCK introduces new economy modules for its line of BL20 I/O bus terminal systems. The economy modules allow up to 16 digital inputs and outputs to be connected using only 12.5 mm of DIN-rail space, providing unsurpassed signal density while considerably reducing the mounting width required.

BL20 economy modules contain integrated wiring and tool-free push-in spring-type terminal connections that save costs and provide quick and easy mounting. The simple assembly and mounting also reduces potential errors on the plant fl oor.

The economy modules are fully compatible with existing BL20 systems, and supports PROFIBUS ®-DP, DeviceNet™ and CANopen network protocols, with Ethernet IP/TCP available fall 2006. The modules are CE, UL and CSA approved, and include free I/Oassistant confi guration software.
