Markham,ON—October 10, 2006—Many applications in the field of Profibus rely on M12-connectors with the HARAX® rapid termination technique. Today's existing system which uses a screw cap, a gasket, a metal ring and a splicing element for the cable is well-known in the market. The advantage of a quick and easy termination method is confirmed by every user.
The newly developed redesign consists of fewer processes. The original method
of braid termination to the connector body has been replaced by a newly developed
splicing element with an integrated metal piece. This makes for a quicker assembly
process. Standard cable stripping tools can be used for this kind of application.
