Markham,ON—June, 2006—Applications requiring the use of
laser photoelectric sensors are continuously increasing, not only due to the
higher power of the light emission but also due to the better resolution offered
by the collimated light beam also on longer distances.
The need to measure distances, detect small objects, or distinguish references
in the same position are becoming always more important in automatic machine
applications.
Automatic packaging, ceramic and wood industries and in general material and
automatic handling of small parts frequently require rapid and precise detection
solutions.
DATASENSOR, always striving to anticipate market requirement, has introduced
important improvements in the miniature photoelectric sensors with laser emission
of the S40 series, in particular the maximum switching frequency has been increased
from 1 to 4 kHz.
This improvement, which reduces the sensor response time to only 125 microseconds,
positions the S40 laser sensors at the market vertex, without any price increase.
The very narrow light spot and very high switching frequency make the S40 laser
sensors particularly suitable to detect small objects moving at high speed,
guaranteeing very high repeatability, i.e. the ability of detecting objects
positioned in the same spot, without sensor output switching delays.
These improvements will be available on all sensors delivered from the 1st July
2006 onwards.
Product descriptions and ordering codes remain unchanged.
