Markham,ON—October 3, 2007—TURCK has added new stainless steel front face sensors to its line of harsh duty sensors. These durable sensors are designed to withstand the physical abuse often found in the automotive industry.
These sensors use one-piece stainless steel construction for the barrel and sensing face, delivering an IP 68 and 69k protection rating against moisture and fl uid ingress. This also prevents corrosion and allows the sensor to be used in areas where oil, lubricants and chemical washdowns occur, like those found in food and beverage applications.
The sensors are available in 12, 18 and 30 mm barrels, with a 3-wire DC quick
disconnection. The sensor is an ideal replacement for sensors that use other
face material, like plastic, that cannot withstand physical abuse.
