SAFEasy™ SE4T-L Muting safety light curtains

Markham,ON—March 22, 2005—The new DATASENSOR SAFEasy™ safety light curtains of the SE4T-L Muting series thanks to the use of pre-assembled, pre-cabled and pre-aligned Muting sensors, represent the ideal solution for access control applications that require the Muting function, such as in palletising /depalletising plants, robotised areas, mounting and assembling lines, automatic warehouses and loading/unloading as well as material sorting areas.
These new multibeam optoelectronic SE4 safety devices are composed of optically synchronised receiving and emitting units, conforming with the international safety Standards in force, in particular IEC 61496-1 and IEC 61496-2, and have been TÜV certified by in the TÜV Product Service GmbH of Munich, Germany.
The safety light curtains of the SE4T-L Muting series are Type 4 safety devices for body protection of operators exposed to risks according to the EN 954-1 Standard. Consequently, the devices present two microprocessors for the control and management of the emitted and received beams, two PNP safety outputs and ± 2.5° optic beam aperture angle.
The SE4T-L Muting safety light curtains suit all access control applications where the Muting function is required. The Muting function is intended as the temporary automatic suspension of the safety function in order to consent cyclical working operations without machine interruption.

Three different versions are available:

- L-shaped: version with integrated Muting sensors for unidirectional Muting (e.g. pallet exit);
- T-shaped: version with integrated Muting sensors for bidirectional Muting (e.g. pallet entrance/exit);
- Linear: linear version with external Muting sensors (photoelectric sensors, inductive proximity sensors, electromechanical switches, key selectors, etc.).

All three versions have models with 2 or 3 safety beams, respectively 500 and 800 mm detection heights and 2.5 m operating distance for ‘T’ and ‘L’ versions and 20 m operating distance for the linear version.

Datasensor photoelectric detection devices are represented and sold in Canada by Chartwell Automation Inc., 140 Duffield Dr., Markham, Ontario. L6G 1B5. For technical information, contact Chartwell Application Engineering, 905-513-7100, Sales@Chartwell.ca .
