Markham,ON—January 4, 2007—TURCK introduces a line of highly reliable and easy to program temperature sensors. The TS400 and TS500 temperature sensors incorporate a multitude of design features that make the sensors suitable for nearly all factory and process automation applications.
TS400 and TS500 temperature sensors are platinum resistance temperature detectors (RTDs), a technology commonly referred to as Pt-100. Pt-100 technology is known for its precision, repeatability and ability to provide incredibly fast response times. The sensors may be mounted directly or remotely, and sense a temperature range of -50 to 500 degrees Celsius (-50 to 932 degrees Fahrenheit). Several process connections are available with the TS400 and TS500 sensors, including compression fi ttings, thermowells and tri-clamp fi ttings.
TS400 and TS500 sensors are available with two switch points, an analog current output with one switch point, and an analog voltage output with one switch point. The sensor’s multiple outputs are programmed via push-buttons, and do not require regular maintenance calibration. A recessed “enter” key helps prevent unintentionally altering stored values.
The sensor’s compact design allows it to be mounted directly next to other
sensors or in space restrictive places. TS400 and TS500 sensors display Celsius,
Fahrenheit, Kelvin, and ohms outputs on a large, bright LED screen that may
be inverted electronically. The TS500 version may even be rotated by 320 degrees.
The sensor’s stainless steel housing provides an IP 67 environmental rating,
and an M12 eurofast ® connection provides easy integration into existing
applications.
